nicktres Posted January 7, 2006 Report Posted January 7, 2006 :) Looking for some help. I am trying to get the best possible deal on a 3.5 to 4 star on the strip. I have found bally's for 100 a night after taxes on hotwire. Do you think I can find a better deal? Will prices get cheaper closer to the dates? Help!!!
thereuare Posted January 7, 2006 Report Posted January 7, 2006 Welcome to BetterBidding! This is a Saturday to Saturday stay... are you willing to SPLIT YOUR STAY?Let us know and we'll try to help you find the best deal for your needs. nicktres Posted January 8, 2006 Author Report Posted January 8, 2006 It is possible.. I would rahter stay at the same place but splitting would be an option.
thereuare Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 I don't think you'll be successful unless you are willing to split your bid.If you want to try anyway, you have two re-bid zones at the 4* level. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask any questions you may have and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 4* Strip...Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $85.Good Luck and let us know how it goes. nicktres Posted January 8, 2006 Author Report Posted January 8, 2006 processed as advised but no luck. It looks like hotwire may be the way for me to go. looks like i can get what seems to be ballys for 89 a night or what looks to be mgm for 109. I may try one additional time before I go to hotwire. Thanks for your help.
nicktres Posted January 14, 2006 Author Report Posted January 14, 2006 We ended up booking directly through Bally's using their price gaurantee. Since i found a price of 733 from priceline viewable pricing for the week they are going to match the price and beat it by 25%. So we are going to get a really good deal once I get confirmation that it is being matched i will post the exact details here. Thanks you for your help.
thereuare Posted January 14, 2006 Report Posted January 14, 2006 Looks like a good deal... what was the total rate thru Bally's? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
nicktres Posted January 14, 2006 Author Report Posted January 14, 2006 We are still working on it. I filled out the form for the price gaurantee. the price i found was 104 a night plus taxes so since that is a better rate than ballys they are supposed to match the lower price and give an extra 25% off that would take the room to 78 a night plus taxs. for a full week this seems to be a great deal. once I get the exact rate back within the next 48-72 hours I will post it.
thereuare Posted January 15, 2006 Report Posted January 15, 2006 That would be an excellent deal for this timeframe.Let us know how it all works out. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
nicktres Posted January 16, 2006 Author Report Posted January 16, 2006 Got the confimation for all three of my rooms. 549.50 for the week plus tax. Looks to be right under 600 dollars for the week at Ballys. From May 27th Through June 3rd. I am extremely happy with this price. Again I booked stright through Bally's then filled out the form and faxed it to them showing the lower price at priceline of 733 before tax and they matched it and beat it by 25%. AWESOME deal.
