bopatel Posted April 30, 2015 Report Posted April 30, 2015 Looking for a 3.5-4.5 Star hotel next week. I need to attend a convention @ Javitis Center and am looking for a nice hotel close by. Times square, Hells Kitchen, West Midtown, Convention Area are all acceptable. Was looking to bid $150-$200 is that reasonable? Already tried $150 for a 4.5 and a 4* in Times Square and did not get it I need a strategy. Can anyone help.

Did you want to first try for a 4* hotel up to your limit, then if rejected try for a 3.5* hotel up to your limit... OR is your goal the least expensive 3.5* or better for this stay? Also, is $200 your firm maximum bid at this time OR are you willing to bid a little higher up to $215/nite (we will of course start lower, but if you're rejected up to $200, should we stop or continue on to $215/nite?) bopatel Posted April 30, 2015 Author Report Posted April 30, 2015 3.5 to 4 Star is OK. up to $215 is OK, but I already see on hotwire deals and Priceline express I see a 4 star around $213-217. Yet in both locations there is a resort fee of $20-$25 per night....do all/many NYC hotels have resort fees? I thought that was a Vegas thing...
