CameraMan Posted April 30, 2015 Report Posted April 30, 2015 Hi, I'm looking for a bidding strategy for getting a 4*-3* hotel in the Vancouver Airport YVR area during Aug 14-19, 2015. Our plan is to be there for 5 nights. Does the duration help win a lower bid? Is $50/night reasonable during this time of year? Thanks
yellowdog Posted April 30, 2015 Report Posted April 30, 2015 Welcome to BetterBidding! Is $50/night reasonable during this time of year? You might get lucky with a 3* but the 4* hotels are not within your $50 budget. HOTWIRE has a 3* $59 and I believe it's the Accent Inn Vancouver Airport. What is your budget 3* vs. 4* ? Let us know and we'll go from there. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Yellowdog.

CameraMan Posted May 2, 2015 Author Report Posted May 2, 2015 Using the Priceline link, I tried $47/night for a 4* without any luck.

Are you going to try to hit the cheapest hotel on PRICELINE or would the 3* on HOTWIRE be an option? Let us know how we can help you further with your stay. Thanx for using boards PRICELINE links!
