Been checking out this forum lately and am planning to bid within the week for a hotel in NY,

 

Do you think a price of around USD $200 is feasible at this time?

I am ready to bid, a 4* is okay  just looking at my options and staying at around 200USD a night would be fine, if there is a good deal for a nicer hotel i could go a little higher.

 

i would like to stay somewhere around midtown east if possible a lot of the destinations i want to go to are near there!

I'm seeing what appears to be the 3.5* Hotel Boutique at Grand Central for $202/nite for your dates, which is not 4* rated, but does get very good reviews, should this be of any interest.

Also seeing the 4* Holiday Inn NYC - Lower East Side for $196/nite.

Are any of the above of interest? If you prefer to bid for this stay let us know all zones which are acceptable and we will suggest a strategy for you to follow.

I have done a little more research of what i want, if i can extend the price toward the 225-230 mark and want to stay in around midtown east/west.. do you see any more options for me

I'm very familiar with NYC so let's backtrack a minute... why MTE and MTW? What is it about these two zones that you want to focus your attention here? (i'm not saying that you shouldn't, but there are other zones adjacent to these, as well as some inbetween the two, which would likely work just as well for your needs).

Any thoughts on the well reviewed Yotel Times Square for $218/nite? (which if correct is outside of the MTW zone my one avenue)

Well I had no idea as to where I wanted to stay, that area seems to be right in the middle.

I think the Yotel would be a good place to try and get looking at the review, What else might I get if I try to bid in that area

What else might I get if I try to bid in that area

 

If you bid on PRICELINE you need to be willing to accept any hotel in the zone at the star rating (or higher) that you choose... if you want to have a guess as tow hat you may receive before you purchase then use PRICELINE EXPRESS or HOTWIRE.

Are you looking to bid on PRICELINE for this stay OR willing to pay a few dollars more (via PRICELINE EXPRESS or HOTWIRE) to have a guess as to the hotel before your purchase?
