yellowdog Posted April 29, 2015 Report Posted April 29, 2015 Best guess would be Hyatt Regency or At&t Hotel And Conference Center Keep us updated on your progress and let us know what you ultimately decide or if we can be of further help. avis328 Posted April 29, 2015 Author Report Posted April 29, 2015 can you tell me if these hotels are good? How is their location?Do you know if i'm more likely to get one or the other? Which one is more commonly won on priceline through express deals?Any advise on bidding strategies for 4 star and 4.5 star properties in Downtown Austin?Do you know which 4 and 4.5 star Downtown Austin Hotels are most commonly won through bidding?
AaronJB Posted April 29, 2015 Report Posted April 29, 2015 The ATT is somewhat less convenient to downtown, but it depends on where you need to be and whether the potential hotels are convenient for your travel plans. No way to know if one is more likely than the other. If a hotel is reported to the board 10 times in a row, the 11th could be something different. The discount services really require flexibility and you have to be willing to stay anywhere in the zone at the star rating chosen. Are you willing to accept any hotel within the zone in terms of bidding? In terms of commonly won hotels, see above. You have to be willing to accept any 4* if you bid for 4* in a zone, as there's no way to know which may be won. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
AaronJB Posted April 30, 2015 Report Posted April 30, 2015 Any chance it could be the omni?I'd agree with the guesses of the ATT or Hyatt. I don't think it's the Omni. Please keep us updated with what you decide and let us know if you have additional questions.
