Beefdrippings Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 Just purchased this hotel using PRICELINE EXPRESS. The bonus to this hotel over others in the area is free parking. Whenever I tried to pay with paypal it wouldn't work.I paid with a credit card and it worked just fine.
Roadguy Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 Really nice win That property is near two of my favorite restaurants when Im in CA. You can walk to Peppinos for Italian, and probably the best Japanese IVe had in the States is Fukada a few minutes away @Irvine Center/405. I think the last time I was there I had a HUGE piece of fresh well prepared Chilean Sea Bass with several sides for sub $20...unbeatable

Beefdrippings Posted April 20, 2015 Author Report Posted April 20, 2015 Thanks for the heads up. When I'm down there I try to find some good Mexican joints but we'll see how the rest of the crew feels. By the way it looks like there's a property on Hot.wire that might be this one for $80/night.
Roadguy Posted April 20, 2015 Report Posted April 20, 2015 I would recommend the El Ranchito, great food good prices if you want white table cloth expensive Mexican, there is a place in the outdoor spectrum mall. Its good, but pricey. I cant remember the name, but their margaritas are like $8. I had on the bone Carnitas there. Like I said good, but overpriced for mexican. The Hotwire 3 star looks like the Laguna Hills Lodge, by the amenity set, TA and HW rating. Its a nice older property but a notch below the HI
Beefdrippings Posted April 22, 2015 Author Report Posted April 22, 2015 Ranchito is on the list. Went there last year and I enjoyed it.Margaritas were strong and the guacamole made table side was a nice touch.
