leirocky Posted April 17, 2015 Report Posted April 17, 2015 Hi,I'm traveling to New York City with my parents from 6/6 to 6/11 (5 nights). As we have 3 people, I decide to use hotwire to ensure the 3 adults room. My goal is to find a good location hotel with high reviews, but under $300/night budget. There are some I found: 4.5* MTE, 289/night, TA 4.5/5, recommended 90%, location is 5, all others are 4.5.3.5* MTE, 255/night, TA 4/5, recommended 85%, service and comfort 4.5, all others are 5.4.5* ESB boutique, 266/night, still gathering reviews. MTC and TS seems nothing interesting. Could anyone give some suggestion and guess? Is ESB a good area stay for tourist considering the location? Also why the price I'm seeing is much more expensive compare to the shared winning post (I see several ~200 per night 4 and 4.5* hotels in forum)? Thanks!
thereuare Posted April 17, 2015 Report Posted April 17, 2015 Welcome to BetterBidding! For help with the offers above please repeat your search using the EASY VIEW tab of our BiddingHelper.com tool and list the amenities associated with this property. Your rates are likely higher than many of the wins you see on the board do to: 1) your searching for triple occupancy which comes with a premium in NYC (most hotels have a higher percentage of rooms with only one bed so rooms designated for triple occupancy are often considered an upgrade from 'standard') 2) we are entering high-season for NYC. Rates thru mid-March are some of the lowest of the year in NYC, and they increase a little thru mid-April, but after mid-April thru the end of June it is high-season in NYC and rates go up accordingly.
