oldmanbob
I first researched hotels using this site, then used your PRICELINE link to go to Priceline . Vancouver is a very easy multi-bid city if looking for a 4.5 or 5 star hotel first as it has 14 different bidding zones and only two of them have a 4.5 or 5 star property. I started with selecting a 5 star (likely The Four Seasons Hotel) at 101 a night. No go. My 2nd bid, I added the 4.5 (likely the Pan Pacific Vancouver property) and upped it to 107,NG. , I had to add a new area that had no 4 star properties and bid 116. No go. I added another lower zone and moved bid to 121.00 (My research had showed this property was the likely property that Priceline had for 135 on their express bid, so I wanted to beat that price). Thus I offered 121 and won. This bid of 121, taxes and fees of 27.52 for total cost of 148.52. For this Four Seasons, I think is a decent price . I always use BB when the need for a Priceline deal comes up but have not used it in a while as I had lots of points to burn and have been using points for hotels in the last year or two . But I never forget how this is the best site to help one get a great Priceline bid, so thanks a lot ! The wife should enjoy the Four Seasons. Happy wife = happy life. Link to comment

revblc
Awesome deal. Is that in Canadian dollars or American dollars? Did you use the Express Deal price as your guideline for your starting bid? I'm assuming that if the Express bid price was higher you would have started your bidding higher as well. Link to comment
thereuare
revblc, Welcome to BetterBidding! Please start by reading your messages (which will also remove the red box at the top of the page and make the board easier to navigate) All prices (at least in the topic title) are in US Dollars and before taxes/fees. If you need help with an upcoming trip feel free to start a NEW TOPIC and we will assist you there, as the OP of this thread may not return to the board until s/he has another trip to book, and therefore may not see your post in time to help with your own travel plans. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
