Sweet deal for this property and hope you are looking forward to your stay. I'm very familiar with the area - let me know if you have any questions/need recommendations. The walk-in entrance to the Chicago Botanic Gardens (chicagobotanic.org) is on the other side of the expressway from this hotel, on Dundee. If you can get the hotel shuttle to drop you off there, there is no admission cost. If you go in via the drive-in entrance on the other side (Lake Cook Road), there is no admission but there is a parking cost.

 

Across from this property is Barnaby's Pizza - an institution that looks exactly the same as it did 30+ years ago. Not the world's greatest pizza, but certainly good with a great corn meal crust.
