Hi everyone,

This is my first time to use priceline.

I'm planning to stay in NYC from Apr 27th to 30th, I found a priceline express deals for a 4*  Madison Square Garden, amenities include restaurant, fitness center, free internet and business center. Bed choice available as well. guest rating is 8+ and favorite. And it is only $97/night.

Any guess for it?

Is it a good deal?

And what if I want to bid for it?

Thanks for help. :)

Welcome to BetterBidding!

Best guess would be Tryp Times Square South.

There's no way to tell if you'll get the same hotel when using the bidding service. PRICELINE EXPRESS and NYOP uses different inventory so you might get an unreported hotel.

Yes, it looks like a good price and it got a very good 8+ rating.

PRICELINE EXPRESS (and to a greater degree, Hot.wire) offer information that one can often use to make an educated guess as to which hotel or hotels it may be. Both services are usually slightly-to-moderately more expensive than bidding, but with bidding you have to be willing to accept any hotel in the zone picked at the star rating chosen.

In this case, you're already at a surprisingly low price for NYC in the Spring and the result is likely a well-reviewed property. I'd take this rather than risk bidding.

My guess for this one would be the Tryp Times Square.

If you wanted to try one round of bidding in hope of a lower price then you could do so, but i would likely just take this one (assuming you're OK with the guessed Tryp) as this property gets good reviews, i would rather target a hotel with good reviews (and even be willing to pay a little extra for it) than savings a few dollars and receive something that is not as well reviewed.

Either way, i would NOT wait on this as this hotel/price is an outlier and is priced significantly lower than similarly rated hotels for these dates, so if this one should disappear, it is likely that you will not be able to get anything near this price, imo.
