yellowdog Posted April 13, 2015 Report Posted April 13, 2015 Welcome to BetterBidding! Please post to the board in US Dollars. Please change the drop down menu on the top right of HOT.WIRE page to United States and the currency dropdown to US Dollars. Then continue to search HOT.WIRE and post to the board in US Dollars so that rates are consistent and not subject to interpretation due to future currency fluctuation. Once you're ready to purchase stay on the US version of their site and simply change the drop down menu to whatever currency you'd like to use and complete your purchase. For the HOTWIRE hotel would my guess be Westin Beach Resort. For the PRICELINE EXPRESS, I believe this is the Westin also. Keep us updated on your progress and let us know what you ultimately decide or if we can be of further help. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Yellowodg. PS. Please keep all posts in the same thread since posts are for the same stay.
snakeusa Posted April 13, 2015 Author Report Posted April 13, 2015 Thanks very much! Apologies, re: two threads. I assumed the Priceline and Hotwire posts should be separate. Here are the USD equivalent for the Hotwire rate:$85 per night$25 estimated resort fee per night When bidding through NYOP at Priceline for this area, I noticed they add on what basically looks like the $25 resort fee as "Hotel Fee" in addition to all their taxes and fees. If I'm selecting the Fort Lauderdale Beach area, would that basically mean the result will be the Westin Beach Resort as the other hotels don't have the same resort fees (eg the Pier 66)? Thanks!
thereuare Posted April 13, 2015 Report Posted April 13, 2015 The 'Hotel Fee' feature is new so we are still learning/observing, but the 'Hotel Fee' is only an estimate and it may just be there to show what fees are possible. At this point in the bidding process, PRICELINE has not yet checked availability for your dates, so i don't think they are showing information related to a specific hotel that they have already determined that you would receive. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know whatever you decide to do for this stay or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
