Dragonchou Posted April 11, 2015 Author Report Posted April 11, 2015 Thanks for the reply. The amenities of the hotels are listed below. 1. price:166. (Chicago Loop- Theater District area) 3.5* Pet friendly Fitness Center Business Center Internet Access Spa services 2. Price: 172 (Downtown- Mellennium Park) 3.5* Free Internet Smoke-free rooms Fintness Center Restaurant Business center Self-service laundry Thanks.
AaronJB Posted April 11, 2015 Report Posted April 11, 2015 Usually I would say with Chicago to keep your options open and look North of the river because Chicago's really not that big of a downtown at all and it's an easy cab ride from North of the river to the Palmer. Unfortunately, rates North of the river these nights are similarly expensive. Are you seeing any accessible amenities with the first listing? I'm seeing: 3.5* LoopFitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Spa, Blind Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Wheelchair Accessible, Handicapped Parking, Roll-in Shower, Pet Friendly-- Likely the Blake. 3.5* Downtown-MP-GPRestaurant, Fitness, Smoke Free, Free Internet, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Laundry-- Not yet ID'd/reported to the board, but the Silversmith with a slightly different amenity set would be my guess. If the Silversmith, couldn't be more convenient to the Palmer. There is a cheaper option if you split your stay - see below. Please keep us updated with what you decide and let us know if you have additional questions. AaronJB Posted April 11, 2015 Report Posted April 11, 2015 Split: 4/16-17: 3.5* Mag Mile-RN Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business $93 (you may see a slightly different price)-- Likely Doubletree 4/17-19 4* Loop Restaurant, Fitness, Free Internet, Hi-Speed Internet, Spa $173-- Not yet ID'd/reported to the board. Potential guesses would be a new amenity set for the W or perhaps the new Virgin Hotel. If something else, in the Loop in general, you would not be far from the Palmer. Average per night: $146. Dragonchou Posted April 11, 2015 Author Report Posted April 11, 2015 Thanks for the reply. The deal on Hotwire on 4/17-49 seems very great to me.Doubletree is also good, however, i am not very familiar with Chicago (i am from Taiwan). I find a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal on priceline, the infromation is 4/16-17: 3*, Indoor or Outdoor Pool, Fitness Center, Restaurant, Business Center, $118(would you please help me to identify this hotel) so the average price is 154, it's still acceptable, and it might be not far from Palmer House what do you think about that? Many thanks.
Dragonchou Posted April 11, 2015 Author Report Posted April 11, 2015 Hello, I have already booked 4/17-19 on Hotwire, and it is Virgin. May i ask your suggestion, should i book the one on Hotwire, the hotel might be doubleree, or the one on priceline? Thanks.
