Rawson819
On 4/6, I started my first bid for a 4* in the Pike Place district for May 12-19th, using the BB Priceline link, at the delusionally low price of $90. I worked my way through the rebid zones in $5 increments until bombing out at $145. Today, I tried again starting at $150 and then two rebid zones, quitting at $160, which is about my limit. Just wondering how much timing will effect the bidding and if I should take another stab at it at a specific point. Thanks. Joe Link to comment
Romelle
You might consider splitting your stay. If I look at your 1st 5 nights, on Priceline Express there is a 3.5* for $140. Then for the last 2 nights there is a 4* for $139 and a 3.5* for $122. It is possible similar results might be obtained via bidding. One problem with bidding a longer span of nights is that some hotel has to have given Priceline inventory for every single one of those nights in order for your bid to be successful. thereuare
Is SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID an option? If not, HOTWIRE does have a 4* hotel in the Downtown - Queen Anne, Belltown, Seattle Center, Space Needle for $162 (Boutique, Restaurant, Fitness, Smoke Free, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Golf, Blind Accessible, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Wheelchair Accessible, Handicapped Parking, Roll-in Shower, Pet Friendly)... not certain which one this is, but Motif Seattle would be my top guess, followed by the Crowne Plaza and Renaissance. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment

Romelle
Please start a new thread for this leg and we'll take a look at this. In your new thread ... did Price.line offer you the option of extending your stay? I'd guess for all three nights it would be at a much higher rate, but maybe you could sneak just one more out at the good rate you got with your bid. After exploring this, up in the center of the page is Bidding.Helper. That will initially take you to Price.line Bidding, but also will let you take a look at both Priceline.Express and Hot.wire current offers. It will give you a good idea as to your possibilities - other zones, other star levels. The PE and HW offers are always good to know before you start bidding, so you don't bid beyond them.
