Hotwire Hotel: Manhattan Hotel

Hi,

 

I am looking for a hotel in Manhattan NYC from May 9 - May 12 2015, for a family of 6 adults.  When should I start using hotwire to book rooms? I am looking for 3.5 star above in midtown, Time Square, and or midtown west and midtown east. All are above my budget of $150 per night.  I noticed in the forums that others managed to get good prices.  Is it too early or should I try a week before?

Prices are extremely date sensitive and vary by season. Rates are somewhat reasonable now (and were much more reasonable in Jan-Mar) but it's getting to the point of the year where rates will ramp up with nicer weather into end of April and May. There is no way to know if rates will come down closer to your stay, but I definitely would not count on it as this is not a slow period.

 

What would be your desired star rating?

Been very busy.  I am still looking for Manhattan hotels. 6 adults. 3 persons to a room. Hotels rated 3 star and above, preferably 3.5 above, in midtown. Midwest, Time Square, Mideast. Chelsea is alright.

Is your budget still $150 per night?

 

The best I can find is a 3* Chelsea $180 that I believe is Holiday Inn Sixth Avenue.

 

Or you have a 3* in Midtown Central $184 that I think is Holiday Inn Midtown 57th St or the Wellington Hotel.

Yes, my budget is about $150 a night.  I just saw a 3 star at Madison Square Garden-Hell's Kitchen at $143 before tax.  Amenities are as follow:-

Free breakfast

Free Internet

Fitness center

Business center

Internet Access

 

Time Square 3.5 star. $165

Smoke-free room

Fitness center

Business center

Internet access

Accessible path of travel

In-room accessibility

 

Can you help ID the hotels please?  I do have a question.  Can we pay using international credit cards though HOTWIRE?

Best guess would be Holiday Inn Express New York - Manhattan West Side

I can't see this when searching for 2 rooms/6 adults. best price I get is $225

Were you including 2rooms/6adults in your search, as i only saw/see the 3.5* Times Square property when searching for double occupancy.
