MarindaRights Posted April 3, 2015 Report Posted April 3, 2015 First bid including 3 Star hotels accepted - perhaps could have gone lower? Not really the property I wanted and I'm a little concerned about Priceline reviewers saying it's outdated and additional resort fees were charged on checkout.

MarindaRights Posted April 5, 2015 Author Report Posted April 5, 2015 Hello,After reading 30-some horrific reviews of this hotel on Tripadvisor I contacted Priceline and requested my reservation be canceled and they agreed to cancel. I don't know if this is standard Priceline procedure or if they have received so many complaints about this property. All reviewers said they charge a considerable resort fee and have many other issues from not having a room reserved (and telling them to go to their 'sister' hotel 40 miles away) to key cards not working requiring waiting for front door staff to come open your room. Also, several reviewers posted 'winning' $40-$45 Hotwire bids during prime spring break time (late March 2015). Sounds like this is perhaps a 1 or 2 star hotel at best.
thereuare Posted April 5, 2015 Report Posted April 5, 2015 Glad to see PRICELINE was willng to work with your on this one, as cancellations/refunds are certainly much more the exception than the rule. If you'd like help with, or to report a win for, a replacement stay for this trip please start a NEW TOPIC. If you decide to go with a 'known' named hotel for this stay, please book thru our sister siter MAPS and HOTELS.com. Thanks.
