2cheap2sleep
I got the Hotel Caribe for $77/nite for 7 nites. Tripadvisor user reviews look less than outstanding, has anyone been there, and any idea why those review would be so bad? Also, I am a HH member, am I really eligible for the free continental breakfast even though I went through Priceline? Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding!I have posted a review from my stay here a few years back, in the HOTEL REVIEW section of the board. There are also photos at our sister site, RealHotelPhotos.comWhen you arrive, if the front desk is busy, go up the stairs one level and make a right (a left if you exit the elevator, if i recall correctly) and there is a separate check-in desk there for HHonors members. (this area is also where the complimentary breakfast (muffins, coffee, etc) is served as well as an afternoon manager's reception. 2cheap2sleep
What fees are considered included in the price of a Priceline quote? I understand that all local taxes and priceline-induced fees will be in there but what about other items, such as 'Resort Fees' ? With hotwire it seems clearer that you may get charged a resort fee for some properties but how do you tell for Priceline properties? Link to comment
thereuare
The additional fees are the same as every other 'traditionally booked' guest... resort fees are extra just as they are for every other guest. 2cheap2sleep
Seems like this is always a catching point with opaque providers. You baseline your desired cost not knowing what additional fees might be applied and you end up spending an extra $40 a night on 'resort fees' and parking.... Link to comment
