sxc Posted January 4, 2006 Report Posted January 4, 2006 Tried bidding via the Priceline HK website for these dates in Berlin East as follows:$365$415$465$515 ---> USD 67 ---> EUR 57I stopped at this stage as I found a rate of EUR 72 incl. tax on www.hrs.com for the Art'Otel Berlin Mitte. What's even better is that the Art'Otel website has a rate of EUR 109 with a best rate guarantee to match the lower rate with a further 25% discount. So I've booked on the Art'otel website and am waiting to receive confirmation they will honour their guarantee.I was hoping to get the Westin Grand and would be willing to bid higher if I was to get the Westin, but I was worried that I would end up paying a high price for the Art'otel, or worse, the Park Plaza.
sxc Posted January 4, 2006 Author Report Posted January 4, 2006 FWIW I also tried bidding Berlin - Tiergarten 4* as follows hoping to get the Marriott:$420$470$520$570$620(in HKD)Nothing! Don't know what's going on in Berlin at this time? Hotel rates don't suggest anything huge during this period.
sxc Posted January 5, 2006 Author Report Posted January 5, 2006 Well this sucks:We have researched your claim, and, although we did find the rate youhave mentioned, the rate on www.hrs.com does not allow to you confirm abed type. The rate on radisson.com allows to you confirm a bed type andour cancellation policy is less restrictive. Per our terms andconditions #2 we are unable to honor the claim. Unfortunately, we are not able to confirm the lower rate. We apologizefor the inconvenience.
