0358530 Posted March 22, 2015 Report Posted March 22, 2015 i saw a 3* downtown hotel on hotwire is 69/n.at the beginning,i think there only 2 hotels(holiday inn & adma's),so maybe is one of 2. i check the amenities which shows :Free breakfast, Free Internet, Suite, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking when i saw the Free Breakfast,i check the hotwire hotel list.there are 3 3*hotels(adam's, double tree, comfort suite),1 2.5* hotel(holiday inn) then i check the priceline hotel list.i guess it maybe the comfrot suite is it right? by the way, i am a new learner,so i would like to bid buffalo hotel at the first time. when i have some experience, i will bid Washington DC $ NYC hotels.
AaronJB Posted March 22, 2015 Report Posted March 22, 2015 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)I'm guessing this listing is a new amenity set for the Comfort Suites Downtown. 0358530 Posted March 22, 2015 Author Report Posted March 22, 2015 ok,if this is comfort suite,i tend to priceline bid for a 3* hotel. holiday or adam's is good for me. the express deal shows the price is 87.List view shows that adam's is 127/n and holiday inn is 112/n. the history price is about 50. how much should i start? 50 or other recommended price thank u
0358530 Posted March 23, 2015 Author Report Posted March 23, 2015 i am a new learner,so i practice tonight with buffalo bid. the express deal 3* is 87/n in downtown :Indoor or Outdoor PoolRestaurantFitness CenterFree ParkingFree InternetBusiness Cente i guess this is holiday inn which is 112/n in view list. there are 5 areas no 3*,so i try 6 times from 55-79 by every 5 dollars increase. But it is not successful there are 8 dollars between 79 to 87. what strategy should i have on tomorrow?if any suggestions,i am appreciate .
yellowdog Posted March 23, 2015 Report Posted March 23, 2015 Please keep all posts in the same thread since posts are for the same stay. I would go $2/bid. if you want to save $1 so bid in two rounds. Good luck and keep us updated on your progress and let us know what you ultimately decide or if we can be of further help. AaronJB Posted March 23, 2015 Report Posted March 23, 2015 I'd also agree with the Holiday Inn guess on the Express Deal, as well as the idea to proceed slowly, given the fact that you know the Express Deal at $87 is likely the Holiday Inn. However, if your last failed bid is $79 and the potential Holiday Inn is $87, there is the risk that you may not get the Holiday Inn bidding, as what is appearing on the Express Deals side MAY not be what you may get on the bidding side. If you get up to $82-84 and still haven't been accepted, you may want to consider the Express Deal at that point if the potential Holiday Inn is appealing. 0358530 Posted March 23, 2015 Author Report Posted March 23, 2015 ok,i get your advise and then bid by 2 dollars increase. there are 2 areas no 3* hotel on Monday morning,so i have only 3 times to bid. step 1 downtown :i bid at 82 dollars. The priceline told me 97 dollars is successful,i ignore it.step 2 downtown+south Seneca: i bid 84,and i get it. it is holiday inn,Amenities:Free Internet (in Room)Free ParkingOutdoor PoolNon-SmokingGymRestaurantHandicap AccessibleBusiness Center ok,saving 3 dollars/n is not bad.Thank u, betterbidding.i have some experience to bid washington DC & NYC. They are difficult more than Buffalo
