JCF41 Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 I am looking for assistance for these nights. Probably would like to switch hotels only once. I booked a cancellable backup through EasyClickTravel using the links for an "Off the Record" which is the Luxor for $152/night, so I think right now my max would be $120/night. I have tried periodically for 5* only for the past month or so with no luck even going up to $150/night on the request. Not seeing many specials right now, so it appears the Luxor is best option right now. Thanks for the help and great resource.
thereuare Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 Welcome to BetterBidding!I'm doubtful you will do much better in price, but what is the breakdown of the rates for each nite of your stay (needed to know if you're considering splitting the dates, otherwise you could do better for the first nite than $152, but find that the weekend nites are much more expensive). Looking at EasyClickTravel, are the prices $111, $167, and $179 respectively? If you really don't mind splitting your dates, the one change i would make is staying the first nite at the Monte Carlo and then balance of your stay at the Luxor, as i'm not such a fan of the very south part of the strip. I think it is a better hotel than the Luxor, but since it's actually a couple of dollars more than the Luxor, don't know if you want to do that since it involves changing properties. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
JCF41 Posted January 4, 2006 Author Report Posted January 4, 2006 The $152/night is the average rate. It is the hotel you listed at 4 1/2*'s. I think this will be good for us. We like the South end and Mandalay Bay will be a good place to watch hoops during MM.I will continue to try Priceline periodically. May split into 1 night stays and see what happens. If anyone else sees or thinks of anything else around this time, please keep us updated. Thanks for the help.
