musezic Posted March 18, 2015 Report Posted March 18, 2015 Hi! yellowdog Posted March 18, 2015 Report Posted March 18, 2015 Welcome to BetterBidding! I'm sorry to say that my best guess would be Warwick. You have to keep looking ;) Keep us updated on your progress and let us know what you ultimately decide or if we can be of further help. AaronJB Posted March 18, 2015 Report Posted March 18, 2015 A few different thoughts/questions. * What are you looking for in terms of hotel? What would be your desired budget per night/which zones would be acceptable? * While the Warwick is not your thing, I will say not a bad deal in comparison to what else is available in Midtown for these nights. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
musezic Posted March 18, 2015 Author Report Posted March 18, 2015 *We love the architecture, style and luxury boutique feel of the viceroy for this first time visit to ny. In terms of zones I think we would be open to any zone that is convenient for your typical Ny visit. (mtc, cps, Times Square preferred, but open to other options). The budget maxes out around 175$/night before taxes*Sure is a good deal! That's why we were hoping for the viceroy ;)Many thanks for all the tips!
thereuare Posted March 19, 2015 Report Posted March 19, 2015 I don't believe the Viceroy has ever been reported to the board thru PRICELINE or HOTWIRE, so i wouldn't hold out waiting for this property. What about the Sofitel and/or the TRYP Times Square South? (although even if not your style i would reconsider the Warick) Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. musezic Posted March 19, 2015 Author Report Posted March 19, 2015 Thanks again for all the help, however I'm starting to discover how addictive this whole PRICELINE EXPRESS deal, bidding process can become ;) Currently we're in doubt on the following 3 options:(See above) Hot.wire deal - Identified as possibly the Warwick (Deal stated "last person got the Viceroy" but by now I discovered that's nothing to rely on) for a total of $783PRICELINE EXPRESS deal - Midtown West - 4.5* - $189/night (32% discount) - Pets allowed/Fitness Center/Restaurant/Free internet - Guest score 9 (guest favorite) - Which I'm guessing is the Sofitel NY for a total of $859 (with 10% discount)Which one would be your choice? Would you explore other options? Thanks!
thereuare Posted March 19, 2015 Report Posted March 19, 2015 Comparing the two the Warwick is a bit more 'old school' and 'clssic'.. whereas the Sofitel is a bit more modern. Location-wise the two are about 10 blocks apart so the difference is negligible. Both properties tend to get great reviews and i don't think you can really go too wrong with either of these.
