After the fantastic JW deal and subsequent disappointment, I could not find a comparable deal during peak Spring Break season. Decided to move dates out a bit to avoid crowds and settled for this hotel which saves me more than half the money from booking direct at Fiesta Americana or Meridian (top choices, comparable to JW).

Resort is notorious for charging extra daily fees so hopefully my prepayment will deter that. I can risk with this hotel primarily because of the superior beach area it is supposed to have pre and post hurricane.

I did get a good deal...but could not get them to remove the additional $13 per day "service" fee for beaches, gardens, etc....some trip advisors have gotten it done, and some didn't/ So just be aware that you need to tack on this per day fee when making your final decision to buy.
