tene_15 Posted March 16, 2015 Report Posted March 16, 2015 Hi , I want 3.5* hotel in Time square district or 4* in MTW during 7-13,Nov 2015What to ask what price to start bid? Is $120 realistic?Or if I change the date to 8-13 Nov, the chance will be higher? Thanks
AaronJB Posted March 16, 2015 Report Posted March 16, 2015 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)$120 is generally only seen during the slowest period of the year. The Fall and early Winter are generally a very busy period, with few exceptions. I think you're likely looking at more around the $155-170 range for these dates, although it may take moderately higher. Would that be acceptable? tene_15 Posted March 16, 2015 Author Report Posted March 16, 2015 Thanks for the recommendations, let me try first.By the way, beside room rate why there is an extra " hotel fee" when I bid for 4* hotel sometime?
thereuare Posted March 16, 2015 Report Posted March 16, 2015 Hi , I want 3.5* hotel in Time square district or 4* in MTW during 7-13,Nov 2015So to confirm... is a 4* in the Times Square zone acceptable? is a 3.5* in the MTW zone acceptable? Are these your only two acceptable zone? Some hotels in NYC are now started to charge resort fees and i assume this is the 'hotel fee' that you're seeing with some star rating/zone combinations. What to ask what price to start bid?More important than your starting bid, what is your maximum bid for this stay? Let us know the information above and we will advise accordingly. tene_15 Posted March 16, 2015 Author Report Posted March 16, 2015 4* in time square is even better, but not 3.5* in MTW as I want to avoid bidding hotel that I do not want.I think Central Park is also good but just wonder if the rate will be even higher.Max bid is about $160 per night without resort fee
