VincentMorit Posted March 15, 2015 Report Posted March 15, 2015 $105 How do I know which hotel this could be??I only see that most of the people are winning: Tropicana!!But I want a MGM resort(so: Mandaley, MGM, Monte Carlo or NYNY), but I guess you'll never know.. What do you think?
AaronJB Posted March 15, 2015 Report Posted March 15, 2015 Are you looking under the PRICELINE EXPRESS Deals side of the service? If so, please provide the amenities showing with the listing. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
thereuare Posted March 15, 2015 Report Posted March 15, 2015 Is the price above in US Dollars? (as i'm seeing a 4* for $89/nite, so maybe you've posted in CAD dollars?) The 4* i'm seeing shows the following amenities: Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Restaurant Fitness Center Free Parking Business Center ... but also shows a 7.0+ user review rating. The Tropicana currently has a 6.9 user review rating so i would think you can 'safely' purchase this one and be assured that it won't be the Tropicana (and as 6.9 is close to 7.0 it's possible (although i think unlikely) that PRICELINE hasn't updated the user review rating yet, but if that was the case, my opinion is that you would have a very good case for a refund since the current rating doesn't meet the minimum threshold as indicated by the PRICELINE EXPRESS deal). My guess for this one would be Paris or Planet Hollywood. You could also look at the 4.5* property for only $10 more per nite: Indoor or Outdoor Pool Pets Allowed Casino Restaurant Fitness Center Free Parking Business Center ... my guess for this one would be Caesars Palace Las Vegas. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
VincentMorit Posted March 15, 2015 Author Report Posted March 15, 2015 It's not Priceline Express but "name your own price" , I'm sorry that I wasn't clear about that! They said: "Median retail price for a 4 star hotel in the area selected is $105" , and I'm not sure if I want to do this, because I think the chance is little to pick a MGM Hotel/Resort(only see Tropicana, Planet Hollywood and Paris winns)
AaronJB Posted March 15, 2015 Report Posted March 15, 2015 If you bid, you have to be willing to stay at any of the possible hotels. HOTWIRE and PRICELINE EXPRESS are better options as you can make an educated guess as to which hotels are showing. However, with PRICELINE EXPRESS and HOTWIRE you are limited to which hotels are showing for your dates and there is one (PRICELINE EXPRESS) or 2-3 (HOTWIRE) at each star rating in each zone. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
thereuare Posted March 16, 2015 Report Posted March 16, 2015 The 'median retail price' information is meaningless and i wouldn't use this information when developing a bidding strategy nor when trying to guess the hotel offered (which as per above you can't really do when bidding on PRICELINE) Let us know how you'd like to proceed and/or what you ultimately decide for this stay. If you decide PRICELINE and HOTWIRE aren't for you, please book thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com.. or our Support Page also has links to all the MGM Properties (and our Las Vegas Hotel Checker tool can help you search all of them with fewer clicks than visiting each hotel's website ;) ) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
VincentMorit Posted March 22, 2015 Author Report Posted March 22, 2015 $56, 65% recommended FULL AMENITIES: Free parking, Resort, Casino, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Tennis nearby, Spa services, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower Which one would this be?
yellowdog Posted March 22, 2015 Report Posted March 22, 2015 Please keep all posts in the same thread since posts are for the same stay. Best guess would be Luxor Hotel and Casino. Keep us updated on your progress and let us know what you ultimately decide or if we can be of further help. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Yellowdog.
VincentMorit Posted March 22, 2015 Author Report Posted March 22, 2015 Hi, Sorry for that, but didn't I put this one in the Hotwire topic? This is an hotwire hotel, so hope I put it in the right one :) I want a MGM resort, so have to be sure it's not Tropicana!
thereuare Posted March 22, 2015 Report Posted March 22, 2015 ... didn't I put this one in the Hotwire topic? Please keep all posts in the same thread since posts are for the same stay. Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread. VincentMorit Posted March 22, 2015 Author Report Posted March 22, 2015 Because I've some free buffets(6!) if I stay in a MGM Resort...You also think it's Luxor, and no chance for Tropicana?
AaronJB Posted March 22, 2015 Report Posted March 22, 2015 I'd also guess Luxor. With the discount services you are limited to what the services have for your dates and it may not be the hotel you are looking for. You can see what the MGM has been reported with previously here: Hotwire Hotel List Nevada. If you book MGM regular rate please use the MGM link on the site's Support Page. Thanks.
