whplanet Posted January 2, 2006 Report Posted January 2, 2006 I'm on a road trip up to Michigan from Florida and needed a place to stay about half way. I didn't feel like crashing at just any motel off the freeway, so I decided to Priceline it. Based on a previous posting for Knoxville, I successfully bid the following:Area: Papermill DriveQuality: 2.5*Bid: $31Dates: 1/2/2006-1/3/2006This turned out to be Holiday Inn Central on Kirby Road.I originally bid $25, but was refused. The system then offered to let me rebid if I increased the amount by at least $6. A previous post to this BBS described a successful bid of $30, so that seems to be the lowest you can go for this hotel.I'm sorry that I wasn't courageous enough to explore other areas of the city and expand your list of hotels, but I hope this helps anyway.
