haute1 Posted January 2, 2006 Report Posted January 2, 2006 1. Tried $80 for a 4 star on the strip for 1/19-1/21 with no takers. Any suggestions for a decent bidding amount?2. Just learned that priceline will only guarantee a room for 2 persons. We'll have 4 people and need 2 beds...Think it's worth the risk? Thanks!
thereuare Posted January 2, 2006 Report Posted January 2, 2006 Welcome to BetterBidding!1) $80 is not currently going to be enough for a 4* for these dates2) you have to decide for yourself whether you want to take the risk of quad occupancy for a room only guaranteed for double occupancy but i will add:-a few hotels are sold-out for your arrival date, so if that is indicative of tight demand, getting a room with two beds could be more difficult than at other times-Vegas has been getting much tougher with most hotels charging extra (sometimes substantially, up to $30/per person per nite) for more than double occupancy (this is even on hotel direct rates)I did find the EXCALIBUR for $105/nite where you can book for 2 adults, and then on the check-out screen select 2 beds, i think this may be the best bet that is close to your budget Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
