I couldn't find any 5 star hotels in the Hotwire list for Soho - Tribeca.  This one lists for $415 and is offered at $260 per night w/ 95% recommendations. The amenities listed in Hotwire are as follows:

Pet friendly

Smoke free rooms

Fitness Center

Pool

Restaurant

Business Center

Self Service Laundry

Internet Access

Spa Services

My guess looking at Expedia hotel lists in Soho -Tribeca is the Trump Soho since its the only one I could find that has a pool.  I'm looking for a nice 5* hotel, preferably in the Soho area, but am open to other recommended options. My budget is $300.

Thanks,

Welcome to BetterBidding!

I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you click thru a few extra links.

If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing, do you see more amenities then what you have listed above? Using this method, below is the full list of amenities i'm seeing for the 5 star hotel in this zone when searching for your dates:

Pet Friendly

Smoke Free

Fitness

Pool

Restaurant

Business

Laundry

Hi-Speed Internet

Spa

Blind Accessible

Deaf Accessible

Travel Accessible

Room Accessible

Wheelchair Accessible

Bathroom Accessible

Roll-in Shower

If this is what you're seeing i'm not certain of this one, but will point out that there is another 5* hotel in this zone (~$315/nite) that also has a pool, the one that you found may not be the only one. With this noted, a guess is that this may be the Jet Luxury at the Trump and hte more expensive 5* is the Trump itself?? (Jet Luxury has been coming up a lot in Vegas lately, they buy rooms at condos/hotels which they own and maintain themselves and then rent them as hotel rooms)

Yes, that is the full amenity list.  Unfortunately, seems like I missed out on the $260 hotel when I just tried to make the reservation.  The only 5* with the same amenities in Soho - Tribeca are now $357 and $319 for 4/22 thru 4/26.  Do you recommend I wait and check back if it reappears?  Or am I better off looking for a new offer?

Nobody can say if the previous offer will return OR if it won't be offered again for these dates. The hotel has likely either 1) sold the current inventory at which point they my replenish based upon their occupancy levels, or 2) saw their occupancy levels go up and pulled the previous offer.

Using BiddingHelper.com and the 'regular' HOTWIRE tab i'm currently seeing three 5* hotels in the Soho zone, the two previously referenced (with a pool amenity) and a Boutique property for $303/nite with:

Boutique

Fitness

Hi-Speed Internet

Golf

Tennis

Spa

... which i'm guessing may be the Smyth hotel, should this be of any interest (the property does have a 4.5/5.0 TA rating so even if some other property should still provide an excellent overall experience)

As to whether you go with this new boutique offer, or the previous one(s) with a pool, depends upon how much you want to try and target the guessed properties, how much you want/need a 5* hotel for this trip, and how much you need/want to stay in the Soho zone. For example, there is a 4.5* hotel in the ESB zone for $225/nite (and a 4.5/5.0 TA rating) with:

Free Internet

Fitness

Business

Laundry

Hi-Speed Internet

... guess here would be the St. Giles - The Tuscany. If correct, would this be worth $75-$100/nite savings vs. the hotel above? If spending more for the Soho hotel how much would the hotel/location augment your stay vs. this 4.5* ESB property? (there is no right/wrong answer here, it's something only you can decide based upon your needs for this trip, the style of hotel you like, etc... but trying to go provide a little food for thought in terms of saving some money and still getting something that will suit your needs)
