ncphath Posted March 3, 2015 Report Posted March 3, 2015 Looking to book a hotel for our trip in June (3 to 7) for 2 adults and one 7 yrs old. We won't have a car so I search only north and south zones of Disneyland. When I search for 2 adults, few nice hotels deal come up3 *** $77 north Disneyland 95% recommendation Free parking Free breakfastFree Internet Pet friendlyFitness center Pool(s)Restaurant(s )Business centerSelf-service laundry Internet accessAccessible for visually impaired Accessible for hearing impairedAccessible path of travel In-room accessibilityAccessible bathroom Accessible parkingRoll-in showerNo resort/ hotel fee3*** and 1/2 80% recommendation South DisneylandSmoke-free rooms ,Fitness center, Pool(s),Restaurant(s),Business center,Self-service laundry, Internet access,Accessible for visually impaired,Accessible for hearing impaired,Accessible path of travelIn-room accessibility,Accessible bathroom,Accessible parking,Roll-in shower$14 / night for resort feeI don't see those hotels when I search 2 adults and one child. Do you guys think it would be risky to book without the child..
thereuare Posted March 3, 2015 Report Posted March 3, 2015 Welcome to BetterBidding! I'm not seeing the Disneyland North property when searching for your dates (regardless of whether i search for 2adults/0children or 2adults/1child)... are you still seeing this one on your own search? For the 2nd property (the 3.5* Disneyland South) my guess here would be the Wyndham Anaheim Garden Grove. As far as booking for double occupancy when you will actually be 2adults/1child, there obviously would be some risk involved, but much lower in an area such as this which is used to accommodating families and therefore has a high percentage of rooms that can accommodate more than double occupancy (vs. if you were staying in a large city such as NYC or Chicago). Also, one thing in your favor with the second property, assuming we are correct with our guess of the Wyndham, is that they charge the same for 2adults in a room as they do for 2adults/2children (which is a better scenario than if the guessed hotel charges more when occupancy is increased to more than two) Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. ncphath Posted March 3, 2015 Author Report Posted March 3, 2015 Oh I made mistake it is in the south area for the one option. But it sounds safer if I search for 2 adults and 1 child. I don't like surprise charges
AaronJB Posted March 3, 2015 Report Posted March 3, 2015 If you search for 2a/1c, are you still seeing the same options? It's not uncommon to see different listings if you search for 2 adults/1 child vs 2 adults. AaronJB Posted March 4, 2015 Report Posted March 4, 2015 3.5* - Likely Red Lion 3* ($90 w/breakfast) - Possible Ayres Inn Orange 3* - Possible Portofino Please confirm the star rating and zone for the additional listing you noted. The Anabella, downgraded to the 3* level since the last time it was reported to the board, would be my best guess for the 3* Disneyland North property at $85/nite.
