go-bucks Posted December 30, 2005 Report Posted December 30, 2005 Newbie here. Just found this site. Awesome forum. Anyway, I already have a hotel for 1-24-1-27 and I wanted to try the posted method to get the Venetian for 1 night. I tried for 1-26-06 starting at $99, I wentup to $115 and no bites. This date must be in high demand. I thought I'd post for others to know. I lovethe maps here. Thanks.
thereuare Posted December 30, 2005 Report Posted December 30, 2005 Welcome to BetterBidding!Rates are not terrible for the above date, but they are higher than when we normally see bids accepted at the amounts which you have bid. It's not that demand is very high, it's more so that the amounts you have bid are usually only available during very low occupancy... these dates have 'average' occupancy levels. AztecWolverine Posted February 9, 2006 Report Posted February 9, 2006 Thereuaare,Just how did you access the Venetian occupancy level for a given date? Did you deduce it from the cost, or do you access some other data base? :)
thereuare Posted February 9, 2006 Report Posted February 9, 2006 Price... there is a direct relationship between price and occupancy level. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
