AaronJB Posted February 15, 2015 Report Posted February 15, 2015 Welcome to Betterbidding. :) I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you click thru a few extra links. If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing, do you see more amenities then what you have listed above? Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
thereuare Posted February 15, 2015 Report Posted February 15, 2015 Using the method outlined above, this is the full amenity set i'm seeing for this offer: Free Parking Complimentary Breakfast Free Internet Smoke Free Business Laundry Hi-Speed Internet Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower If this is what you're seeing, my guess for this one would be the Red Roof Inn Queens. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
ChuckNoblet Posted February 15, 2015 Author Report Posted February 15, 2015 Hi--I've a flight booked for April 7th-10th (3 nights) and I'm looking for a 3 star hotel anywhere in the Priceline Manhattan zones except Upper West Side. Ideally this would be for $425 all in for the total for all 3 nights after taxes and additional fees.I'm not sure if this is reasonable or not, and I would consider going down to 2.5 stars or staying in Long Island City. Thanks in advance.
AaronJB Posted February 15, 2015 Report Posted February 15, 2015 Welcome to Betterbidding. :) $425 "all-in" works out to be about a $112.50-115 bid per night. Unfortunately, I think that's not going to be quite enough for these dates, but is probably not too terribly far off (I'm guessing it will take at least $125-140.) LIC would be slightly cheaper, but would involve time, effort and cost to travel to/from. Let us know your thoughts and we would be happy to offer further suggestions on how to proceed. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
ChuckNoblet Posted February 16, 2015 Author Report Posted February 16, 2015 We'd be willing to go up to around $525 all-in and would prefer to stay in Manhattan. Thank you.
thereuare Posted February 17, 2015 Report Posted February 17, 2015 To avoid any confusion please list your budget in terms of room rate per nite before taxes/fees, as well as list the zones by PRICELINE name, as this will help minimize mistakes and ensure that we are providing you with options that meet your criteria. The best 3* or better HOTWIRE / PRICELINE EXPRESS offer that is in Manhattan is $144/nite ($557/nite)... so if you'd like to try and beat this number by bidding on PRICELINE, please confirm your maximum bid price, and the zones that you are willing to accept, and we will suggest a strategy for you to follow. Also, keep in mind that while most NYC hotels don't charge resort fees, a few have started to charge them this year, and this would be paid directly to the hotel, so if you're walking a thin line of staying within budget you'll need to consider that the hotel you receive when bidding might have a resort fee. Let us know your thoughts, zones, maximum bid, and how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there. AaronJB Posted February 17, 2015 Report Posted February 17, 2015 Please keep all posts for this stay within this thread - thanks. :) I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOT.WIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you click thru a few extra links. If you repeat your search using our Bidding.Helper.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing, do you see more amenities then what you have listed above? If you see: Restaurant, Fitness, Smoke Free, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Blind Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Wheelchair Accessible, Handicapped Parking, Pet Friendly My guess is that this may be the Paramount. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.

thereuare Posted February 18, 2015 Report Posted February 18, 2015 The hotel immediately above is still for a 3* hotel in the Times Square zone? If so, i believe this is the same hotel that AaronJB posted above and is showing a limited number of amenities on some (your) searches and the full list of amenities on other (AaronJB's search)... i'd agree with the guess of the Paramount Hotel Times Square New York. ChuckNoblet Posted February 19, 2015 Author Report Posted February 19, 2015 The Hotwire site is showing a 2.5* on the Upper West Side for April 7-10, 2015 for $113 per night with: Free Internet, Business center, Self-service laundry The BiddingHelper.com view shows a 2.5* on the Upper West Side for the same dates for $110 per night with: Free Internet, Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access Any idea what hotel this might be? Is it safe to assume these are the same hotel? Thanks in advance.
thereuare Posted February 19, 2015 Report Posted February 19, 2015 They are likely the same hotel as i'm guessing you're not seeing the full amenity set on the hotel in the 'HOTWIRE' tab. For future searches/bookings you can do the following to ensure you're seeing the complete list: 1) use the EASY VIEW tab of our BiddingHelper.com and click the green 'See All Amenities' button OR 2) search HOTWIRE (or use the HOTWIRE tab at BiddingHelper.com) and...click the offeron the next page click the BOOK NOW linkin the TRIP SUMMARY box click the 'See more' link at the end of the amenities... if you follow #2 above, do you then see the Hi-Speed Internet also associated with this property? (you need to click all the way thru to the BOOKING page and then click the 'See more amenities' link) As far as this PRICELINE EXPRESS property, i don't have any insight into this one. ChuckNoblet Posted February 19, 2015 Author Report Posted February 19, 2015 Using #2 (via biddinghelper.com) the amenties that come up are:FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access
thereuare Posted February 19, 2015 Report Posted February 19, 2015 Which is the same amenity set as the property you are seeing in the other tab, so 'yes', i would believe these to be the same property.
