My guess is Hilton Prague because I think is the only 5* that has cassino. What would be your guess?

I just thought weird because the original price of Hilton Prague isn't $179, it cost around $90.

Please, help me with this purchase.

This hotel just showed up to me today and i am looking for hotel in Prague (Old Town Square area only) for April 11 to April 14.

PRICELINE EXPRESS DEAL 5* Old Town Square - Astronomical Clock area

Amenities: Indoor or Outdoor pool, Fitness Center, Business center, Free Internet, Restaurant and Cassino.

Guest rating: 8+ (Save 64% or more)

Price: $79 per night

What hotel could be?

I think the hotel that could be are Hilton Prague and Prague Marriott Hotel.

Hilton Prague is not a good option to me because of the location, but Prague Marriot would be very nice. But I really don't know what hotel could be.

I don't know if this is correct, but I always use the strategy discount to found out what hotel could be and it has worked so far.

Let's say the hotel is showing up on Priceline Express Deal that cost $79 and has 64% dIscount, so the original price should be something around $219, So I go on the Priceline List View to see what hotels are in this price and with all the caracteristics that was showing on Express Deal like Indoor or Outdoor pool, Fitness Center, Business center...

So I match all this combination and in the end i have an ideia what hotel could be. But this time didn't work for Prague, maybe some information is wrong.

I bought hotel in Paris and Berlin with this strategy of the discount and really worked, but now I am frustrated.

Could you help me to find out what hotel?

Posted

Actually, the PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal changed to $75 (save 54%)

So according to my strategy, it did worked now. So if the hotel had a 54% discount, the original price should be something around $162, that is the original price of the Prague Marriott.

The only thing I am not sure is that the guest rating give me a 8+ and Prague Marriot is 9+.

Do you think a person can give a bid on Priceline Express Deal for a 8+ and can get a 9+?

Do you think a person can give a bid on Priceline Express Deal for a 8+ and can get a 9+?

Since the listing is 8.0+, and 9 > 8, it's possible.

HOWEVER, i don't agree with using the percent discount and retail prices as an accurate means of guessing the hotel, as unless things have changed recently, this has not been a reliable factor, imo.

I'm not currently seeing a 5* hotel in the Old Town Square - Astronomical Clock Area zone with the amenities and user review rating that you have listed... are you still seeing this on your own search?

No, I can't see either. It's gone.

That happened to me when I was booking in Paris too. The deal was gone and later on it showed again. I will keep an eye on...

But just in case the deal shows again, do you have an idea what hotel can be?

If it re-appears let us know and we will research it at that time... it can take a considerable amount of time researching properties, so we don't investigate properties if they're not currently available for purchase.

I had searched again on Hotwire and found this two options:

1°) FULL AMENITIES: Resort, Casino, Indoor pool(s), Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Tennis nearby, Spa services, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking

90% recommended

Price: $57

2°) AMENITIES: Casino, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Free Internet, Free Breakfast, Pet Friendly (I tried to use the BiddingHelper to see full amenities, but it doesn't show this hotel option)

Price: $78

90% recommended

The first option looks similar to the one I had asked before, but now it shows as 90% recommended instead of 85% recommended.

Dates remains the same (11-14 April)

Best guess for the first property would be the Hilton Prague.

For the 2nd property, if it is not appearing in the BiddingHelper.com, you'll need to do the following to see the full amenity set:

Search HOTWIRE (or use the HOTWIRE tab at BiddingHelper.com) and...

  • click the offer
  • on the next page click the BOOK NOW link
  • in the TRIP SUMMARY box click the 'See more' link at the end of the amenities
Using this method below is the amenity set i'm seeing for this property:

Complimentary Breakfast

Free Internet

Pet Friendly

Casino

Fitness

Restaurant

Business

Hi-Speed Internet

... if this is what you're seeing, the Hotel Kings Court would be my best guess here.

What hotel could be?

I'm assuming both of these are 5* rated? If so...

Best guess for the Old Town property would be the Hilton Old Town, with a slight chance of the InterContinental... for the New Town property the Corinthia Hotel Prague would be my guess.

Yes, they are 5* hotels, I forgot to say.

I was thinking it could be Hilton Old Town either. You said there is a small chance to be Intercontinental, but does it have tennis?

Because it there is no tennis, it can't be Intercontinental.

The Tennis amenity is listed as 'Tennis Nearby' so it does not need to be on-site and what qualifies as 'nearby' not clear.

Please use the requested PRICELINE / HOTWIRE links on the board for your bidding, searches, and travel purchases.

I got the Hilton Prague Old Town!

The price came down a little bit and it was for $69 per night.

I dont know if it was a good price, but the prices in Prague for my stay were getting expensive, so I decided to book now.

Thank you for the help!
