bwerner
Does anyone know what the 4.5* hotel listed on Hotwire for Heathrow Airport is? The 4* listed, which is probably the Crowne Plaza, is a great price, but I have heard that the meal prices are so high it negates any savings. Any other suggestions? We will be there just one night in January. Thanks for your help. Link to comment
WillTravel
What is the date of your stay, and what amenities do you see? It's possibly the Radisson Edwardian Heathrow, which shows up in the packages as 4.5*, withAirport Shuttle, Restaurant(s), Fitness Center, Spa Services, High-speed Internet Access, Business Center.I'd expect any London airport hotel, with the exception of the Ibis (not on Priceline), to have prohibitively high prices for food. bwerner
The amenities you listed for the Radisson Edwardian Heathrow match up exactly with those listed on Hotwire for the 4.5* property. We will be there the night of Jan. 24th. Since the total price for the 4.5* is $163.00 and the total for the 4* is $76 dollars, looks like we will go with the 4*--kind of a no-brainer. We can buy a pretty good meal or two for the difference! Thanks for your help. Just wish we were in London long enough to actually see something! Link to comment
WillTravel
The Radisson Edwardian Heathrow is on Bath Road, so it's a lot more convenient for getting into central London than the Crowne Plaza. You can also use the public bus to get to the Radission for free to/from Heathrow, which is cheaper than using the Hoppa or taxi, as you have to do with the Crowne Plaza. But if you aren't going to be there long, you're right that the cost difference is pretty overwhelming! Link to comment
