We received the  "Barcelo Bavaro Palace Deluxe"  We are very happy with the results from our Hotwire purchase! Spent the whole weekend gleaning information from this site (thank you) and researching all of the resorts with similar amenities list  and decided to pull the trigger. We had it narrowed down to what we received and Ocean Blue, this is the description that we were working with : We received our hotel confirmation today, booked last night! Figured we saved around a $1000.00 per family!

For whomever it may help: Got back two days ago from Barcelo Bavaro Palace Deluxe and paid $210 (before tax) per night 2/19-2/22.  Bid on Priceline for 4.5* deluxe on 1/30 and got that deal.
