Bradster74 Posted February 11, 2015 Report Posted February 11, 2015 Hi Guys,Sorry I am kind of new to Priceline. Im looking for a nice hotel with a good location in Times Square, preferably a 4 star. I will be staying 3 nights from 2/27 to 3/2.Am I too early to use Priceline? Should I wait a few days before my arrival? I saw a Hotwire deal for $144/night but it's hard to tell what you'd get. My budget is no more than $160/night if that's possible.I just need some help finding a good deal around Times Square, I would love any suggestions and input anyone might have for me!Thank you for the help!
thereuare Posted February 11, 2015 Report Posted February 11, 2015 Welcome to BetterBidding! Please start by reading your messages (which will also more the red box at the top of the page asking you to do the same). ;) Rates are very reasonable for these dates (relatively speaking, it's still NYC after all ;) ). Is Times Square the only zone you're willing to accept for this stay or is something centrally located in one of the neighboring zones acceptable as well? I'm local to the area so if you let us know what your needs are from this stay we can suggest the best options for this trip, or if there is a specific HOTWIRE offer you're considering if you post the complete amenities that are associated with this (using the EASY VIEW tab at our BiddingHelper.com) we will have a look. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know the information above and we'll take it from there. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Bradster74 Posted February 11, 2015 Author Report Posted February 11, 2015 I would be open to other neighboring areas in safe locations. I just don't want to be too far from the action. I see a deal on Priceline for a 4 star in Times Square for $91/night. There are no amenities listed for this deal but says there's a bed choice available. Also it says This deal saves 28% or more compared to similar hotels*. Any idea which hotel it might be?Also the Hotwire deal for $144/night only has one amenity which is free internet. It is for a 4.5 star hotel in the Times Square area too.Do you think I should do one of these deals or take a chance using the Name My Own Price tool through Priceline?

Bradster74 Posted February 11, 2015 Author Report Posted February 11, 2015 Yes I used the easy view tab and clicked on "Full Amenities Click Here" and there are none listed. It does say above Full Amenities Include: Free Internet and More. That's all I could find.

Bradster74 Posted February 11, 2015 Author Report Posted February 11, 2015 Okay I see that now thanks! It wasn't working on my phone so I switched to my computer. I compared the amenities with the ones listed on the Hotwire hotel list here and couldn't determnine which one it may be. Do you know which hotel it could be?
AaronJB Posted February 12, 2015 Report Posted February 12, 2015 I would be open to other neighboring areas in safe locations. I just don't want to be too far from the action. While Times Square is arguably the most well-known area, personally, I think the "action" in NYC is really nearly everywhere. I've walked from Times Square to Battery Park and then back up the other side past the Empire State Building and up to Central Park (I mean, I could hardly walk the next day, but...) Coming from Chicago, NYC is highly enjoyable in that there's so much to see in every area. When I've gone, Times Square is actually where I've spent the least amount of time. I'm seeing the 4.5* TS, but that listing has not yet been ID'd/reported to the board and with only 2 very common amenities, it's difficult to begin to narrow down what this may be. A couple highlights I'm seeing under $100, which leaves plenty of savings that can be applied elsewhere in the trip: $97 4* MTE Boutique, Restaurant, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Blind Accessible, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Roll-in Shower -- Possible match for the Lexington. $88 4* ESB Restaurant, Fitness, Free Internet, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Laundry, Pet Friendly -- St Giles the Court or Carlton Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
