tamatem Posted February 9, 2015 Author Report Posted February 9, 2015 Thank you, Aaron. Some time ago, you mentioned a spice place-- market perhaps?-- in Chicago that you suggested I check out. What and where was that again?
thereuare Posted February 9, 2015 Report Posted February 9, 2015 ...as well as one of my favorite stores in the city, the Spice House, which is in Old Town - http://www.thespicehouse.com/info/chicago-spice-store.html) :) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
AaronJB Posted February 10, 2015 Report Posted February 10, 2015 The Spice House is definitely a great stop if you're up that way. If not, they actually do sell their spices (well as their local blends) via their website. Walking into the store is definitely a feast for the senses. I order from them every few months. I also think Eataly (http://www.eataly.com/eataly-chicago/), which is much closer to your hotel, is a great deal of fun to browse around. Let me know if you have any city questions at all. enjoy your stay.
tamatem Posted February 24, 2015 Author Report Posted February 24, 2015 Thank you, Aaron. I did check out Eataly the last time I was in Chicago. It was fun (and expensive). I'd suggest that newcomers google Eataly before coming to browse through the various online articles that explain how the store and restaurants are set up. Far more enjoyable that way, in my humble opinion. Especially, if you are hungry.
