yooperann Posted December 27, 2005 Report Posted December 27, 2005 This was a great priceline buy at $49 for a couple of days right before Christmas. Nice 10th floor room, great beds, comfortable and handsome chairs, and a nice desk-table arrangement that would work well for people with work to do. Excellent access to the Beltway, NIH, Metra, and the malls of Rockville. Unfortunately, like too many 4* hotels, it charges both for parking ($8 per day) and high speed internet access ($12.95 per day, which also includes unlimited long distance). There is a free hotspot in the lobby, though, if you just need a quick email check now and then. The staff was friendly and helpful (not a shred of Priceline disdain), the bath amenities nice (Bath & Body Works), and the room was very quiet. Since I didn't need the internet access, and had also gotten a great bargain on a rental car (National includes its PT Cruisers in its full-size line-up so that's what we picked up for our $17 a day) not even the parking charge could deter me from feeling like I'd lucked out.
