rayt Posted December 26, 2005 Report Posted December 26, 2005 I am finding a 3.5 star in North strip. I do not see any 3.5 stars in the hotel listing for North Strip- any help?
bbbb Posted December 26, 2005 Report Posted December 26, 2005 What are your dates for this stay? Harrah's is a 3.5* hotel on the strip and would be my guess.

rayt Posted December 26, 2005 Author Report Posted December 26, 2005 It is a 3.5 star in north strip with casino, restaurant, swimming, fitness, spa, internet, tennis nearby, and business. Also any thoughts on the excalibur which is a 3 star and can be had pretty cheap?thanks for your help
thereuare Posted December 26, 2005 Report Posted December 26, 2005 The above is a match for Bally's and that would be our best guess. What is the rate of the 3.5* property above vs. the rate for Exacalibur? What are the date(s) of your stay? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
rayt Posted December 26, 2005 Author Report Posted December 26, 2005 I am traveling 4/6 - 4/8- excalibur is $92, Ballys $125 an4 star hotels in $150's- thanks
thereuare Posted December 26, 2005 Report Posted December 26, 2005 If just using the room as a place to sleep, like being around young children in Vegas, won't be using the pool too much, and you like the Four Corners area of the strip i would save the $$60 and take the deal at the Excalibur.Personally i'm not such a fan of the Excalibur (i prefer mid-strip location better and it is a bit too 'kiddie' for my taste) and the $60 would make it a tough decision whether it was worth the savings or not.If refundable i might book it as a back-up and see what offers are made in the next few months... some hotels (such as the Monte Carlo) haven't even released their rates for April '06 yet. rayt Posted January 4, 2006 Author Report Posted January 4, 2006 Of the 4 star hotels on hotwire can someone give me their preferences between the following: Luxor, Treasure Island, Paris, MGM,NYNY. Location doesn't really matter- looking for opinions on best hotels to stay at- thanks
sageblue Posted January 4, 2006 Report Posted January 4, 2006 I have stayed at Paris, Luxor, and TI, and would probably put them in that order. Our room at Paris was larger than at the other two and more tastefully decorated. I also liked the gaming there better since the casino has much higher ceilings than the other two. Finally, nothing can beat the breakfast buffet at Paris! That being said, I would stay at either of the other two again, but if I had a preference, I'd go with Paris.
thereuare Posted January 4, 2006 Report Posted January 4, 2006 More importantly, which hotels is Hotwire showing for your dates?PS- please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
rayt Posted January 5, 2006 Author Report Posted January 5, 2006 sorry about the different threads- they are showing paris and luxor for approximately the same price- both low 140's
thereuare Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 Of those, Paris is a much better choice, imo. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
