If you enter a wrong Credit Card ID, and if it comes up asking you to confirm you CC ID, then the bid is accepted... but they can't charge you before you enter a correct #, so can this be used as a way to find out if a bid is accepted without actually being charged?

Nice to have you here at BetterBidding but making up a phony credit card number is fraud.

If you read a few of the members' posts here, you'll see it's not that difficult to get a great Priceline price honestly. Feel free to ask for help.

Yes, we know this, and so does Priceline, which is why they included the following in their terms & conditions under acceptable use:

"It is a violation of law to place a Request in a false name or with an invalid credit card. Please be aware that even if you do not give us your real name, your web browser transmits a unique Internet address to us that can be used by law enforcement officials to identify you. Fraudulent users will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."

Actually, what happened is I entered the wrong Credit Card ID number, its the one on the back.. Not a fake credit card... It was an honest mistake by me, and nothing illegal about it at all..

In your instance it was an 'honest mistake' and not fraud... but if you try to use this as a bidding strategy and it occurs multiple times, it will raise a red flag and Priceline will be alerted to you. At that point, I don't know if they would just ban you from using their service or actually start legal proceedings, but either way, it's not worth the hassles and potential headaches involved.
