thereuare Posted January 12, 2015 Report Posted January 12, 2015 For a city of its size Boston does not have a lot of hotel rooms and even a small amount of demand can often cause a spike in hotel rates. If you use our sister siter MAPS and HOTELS.com and search for '3 miles from Boston' you can then filter to only show 4* and higher rated hotels on the map (uncheck any stars below 4*) and you'll see the majority of hotels are $300+ for these dates. Specificially, The Ames (confirm your dates on the landing page) is priced at $274/nite so this would be about a $70/nite savings, not too bad and pretty good considering the next best 4* options that are centrally located are is priced at $245+. As well, this HOTWIRE offer shows a 4.5/5.0 TA rating so at the very least, should this in fact be a hotel other than the one we have guessed, you are reasonably assured of a very good experience based upon the reviews from previous guests who have stayed at the property offered. I wasn't able to pull the trigger on this deal but earlier this month using the Priceline link, my bid of AUD240 was accepted by Boston Hotel Buckminster. On reading the reviews, I'm happy with this win. Now working on my stay in Chicago.
