Olemissreb7
I have a question? How did you get or find this deal on Priceline? Reason why I ask is , I am going the the exact same dates . I have been checking Priceline every day the last month trying to find a deal like that. I have been looking on the express deals and bidding on 5 stars north and south strip and have bid up to $145. No luck for me. I was on Priceline 2 hours on jan 7, and didn't see anything like that. Times running out.Can you please share how you did it. Wondering if it is a trick that I don't know. Any help would be appreciated Link to comment
AaronJB
Are your dates the exact same as the Priceline hotel win that you originally replied to - 2/19-2/22? If they are overlap but are different by even a night rates and inventory may differ. Please confirm date/s and desired budget per night and we would be happy to offer our thoughts. Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment

Olemissreb7
I am staying in vegas jan 15-21. I have been bidding on the 5star hotels in the north and south strip, for the last week and a half, and hopes that rates would go down the closer to my stay. I bid up to $158 today and still go rejected in both the north and south strip. I am starting to get nervous, but I am willing to go up to $180 per night. Time is getting close to when I leave.Any suggestions? Thx in advance Link to comment
AaronJB
Unfortunately, these appear to be seriously busy dates in Vegas. I do see a 4* in the South Strip area on HOTWIRE w/Resort, Casino, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Golf, Tennis, Spa, Free Parking, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Handicapped Parking, Roll-in Shower for $158 (you may see a slightly different rate.)- This would be a likely match for the Luxor. Would this be acceptable? Thank you for keeping us updated with what you decide and let us know if you have additional questions. Olemissreb7
Thanks for the reply, do you mean 4 star? Not 5star? I don't see 5 star for 157. I am missing something? Link to comment
AaronJB
My apologies - I meant 4*. Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment
Olemissreb7
Thx. I will check it out. I am going to continue bidding for the next couple of days on Priceline for a 5 star and go up to $180, and will probably add 4. Star. And see if I get lucky. I will keep you posted. Link to comment
Olemissreb7
Meant go up to 4.5 star no 4 star Link to comment
thereuare
As noted above, rates are date specific (plus your dates are not the same as the previous poster) and unfortunately your dates coincide with a few BIG conferences: 1/18-1/22 50K attendees 1/20-1/22 24K 1/20-1/23 67K 1/20-1/22 49K 1/21-1/23 25K 1/21-1/24 25K ... this is busy, even by Vegas standards. Are you attending a convention while you're in Vegas OR is this a leisure trip? Do you have any specific needs for this trip? (location you need to be near) What is your maximum budget per nite for this stay? Olemissreb7
I am coming in for a convention. I really want to staying on the north or south strip. My max I will spend per night is $180. Preferably in a 5* or 4.5* Link to comment
AaronJB
Unfortunately, I think $180 is not going to be realistic for a 4.5/5* for these dates. The potential Luxor on Hot.wire is now showing at $172 when I'm searching this afternoon. I'm also seeing Planet Hollywood for $175 (you may see slightly different prices than I do.) Would that be of interest? Thank you for keeping us updated on what you decide and let us know if you have any questions. Olemissreb7
You are probably right, then if I drop down to a 4* and use the bidding feature on Priceline. What do you think I should start my bidding at? I will go that route. I have 4 days to get this done. Link to comment
