We are looking to stay at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress in Orlando for 7 nights (May 23 - 30) as this looks like the best hotel in the area with shuttles to both parks, shopping as well as a free par 3 course, a very nice pool and other activities. Can you please help me develop my bidding strategy for this property?

I can get this property for $136 before taxes and fees so I would ideally like to pay closer to $100.

Thanks!

You can't bid on a specific hotel when using PRICELINE, you have to be able to accept any hotel in the zone at the star level (or higher) that you choose... is this Hyatt the only property you're willing to accept for this trip?

HOTWIRE has what looks to be:

The Buena Vista Palace for $77/nite

Caribe Royale Resorts Suites and Villas for $95/nite

Are either of the above acceptable for your needs and if so, do you want to go with HOTWIRE in order to try to target the property OR if bidding on PRICELINE should we lower your maximum bid to not exceed either of the above?

I would like to still try via Price.line and don't want to pay more than either of the above. Slim chances for the Hyatt but let's hope it's that or something just as good,

You need to know how to check/confirm your re-bid zones on your own as this needs to be done before every bidding cycle to ensure that nothing has changed since your last looked (otherwise you can easily end up in a zone you didn't intend)

If you have already ready Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and are confused, try the following:

1) Use the PRICELINE search box on the upper right of this page, enter your city and dates, and click "GO".

2) List each zone that is offered in this region.

3) Next to each zone list the highest star rating offered in the zone. The way to determine the highest star rating offered in the zone is by selecting the first zone i the list, then scrolling down to see the highest star rating selectable (ie- not greyed out). NEXT UNcheck the selected zone, place a checkmark in the next zone, and repeat the process for each zone in the region. Each time you take note of the highest star rating in the zone, make sure that only ONE zone is selected above.

4) post your findings and we'll take it from there
