wcfulton Posted January 7, 2015 Report Posted January 7, 2015 Is there a possible bidding strategy for a 5* Vegas Strip North that would lessen the probability of the Trump hotel?I have received the Palazzo several times but last time was awarded the Trump. The possibility of receiving the Trump again makes me warry of bidding on a hotel in this priceline area. Is there a strategy to avoid? Alternative ideas? Thanks.
thereuare Posted January 7, 2015 Report Posted January 7, 2015 I have received the Palazzo several times but last time was awarded the Trump. You have been a member here since 2007 and no reported wins of the Trump or the Palazzo... please start to share all your wins with the board so that others can benefit from the information. More specifically regarding your question, there is no way to target or avoid a specific property when bidding on PRICELINE. HOWEVER, if you're looking to avoid the Trump it can be easily done by using PRICELINE EXPRESS or HOTWIRE and choosing a hotel that shows the Casino amenity. What are the dates of your stay and your maximum budget per nite (before fees/taxes)? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. wcfulton Posted January 7, 2015 Author Report Posted January 7, 2015 Really appreciate the reply & suggestions. I did not report my last Trump win, apologies, but almost certain I posted Palazzo and a review of our stay. Sorry if I'm somehow confused & will make an effort to report all bids in the future.

wcfulton Posted January 8, 2015 Author Report Posted January 8, 2015 Just staying one night, February 14th & looking to spend no more than $200.
thereuare Posted January 8, 2015 Report Posted January 8, 2015 PRICELINE EXPRESS has THIS 5* Strip North hotel (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $195/nite and it has the following amenities: Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Restaurant Fitness Center Free Parking Business Center ... my guess for this one would be the Venetian, but as it shows a Casino, you can at least be assured that it's not the Trump. Does this work for your needs? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. wcfulton Posted January 11, 2015 Author Report Posted January 11, 2015 Booked using the PRICELINE link. Your guess was correct! The Venetian. We have stayed next door at the Palazzo so looking forward to trying the Venetian. Thanks.
thereuare Posted January 11, 2015 Report Posted January 11, 2015 Congratulations on your success! A very nice deal for a Valentine's Saturday nite (i expect hotels to be especially busy this year given this holiday landing on a weekend nite). Glad to see you received the hotel you were hoping for and are looking forward to trying out a new property in Vegas. As far as the room goes, you will find they are almost identical to those at the Palazzo (which is a good thing :) ). Thank you for sharing your win and using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your bidding. Enjoy your stay.
