Hotwire Hotel: 4* Fort Lauderdale (Beach) Hyatt Pier 66

Well, this turned out to be a huge disappointment.  I called customer service because hotwire claimed this hotel was a "Resort", but after looking at this Hyatt's website, I'm certain it is more a business retreat type of thing.  Plus they claimed 42% off the regular rate - on hyatt's site the price was almost exactly the same.  The CS actually cancelled this booking without any hassle.   For the 2nd thru 4th, I booked the westin on Hotels.com for $250, but I'm still trying to find something on the 1st.

 

If you are looking for something on the beach, avoid this one.  Most of the "resort" type hotels are right on the beach (or just across the street) in this zone.  This one definitely is not.
