dis2cruise Posted December 20, 2005 Author Report Posted December 20, 2005 yes the plans were cancelled :) . we finally were able to get good deal with southwestso we're going to disney world in feburary!!cheryl
LoneStar Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 Look at the threads (one of them mine) for late January and early February. That will give you a timeline (i.e., it's too early to bid). Also, you will have the additional problem of traveling during a peak period (President's Day). I would strongly recommend making a regular "cancellable" reservation and then seeing if you can "beat it" on priceline later. It will be hit or miss on a Resort, especially with needing so many days. You're more likely to get a few days at a time. Breaking your days apart by looking at hotwire and priceline vacations will likely give you a clue when something might be out there.
thereuare Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 Are you willing to SPLIT YOUR PRICELINE BID?What is your maximum bid? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
dis2cruise Posted December 21, 2005 Author Report Posted December 21, 2005 spitting a bid? could i try a couple of days and then have my husband try the rest?my highest bid would be $100 a day do you think this would be enough to try to get a resort.thanks everyone for all your help :) cheryl
thereuare Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 When you split the bid there is no reason to have two different people bid as each bid submitted for different dates is NOT treated as a duplicate bid... or are you asking if you could bid for the complete stay and then have your husband try? (which i don't think you need to do, as you have a LOT of re-bid zones available when bidding Resort in this area... if you're not familiar with re-bidding you may want to read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
dis2cruise Posted December 22, 2005 Author Report Posted December 22, 2005 I thought i had to split it up with 2 different people, thanks for the link i will check it out :) cheryl
thereuare Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 No, splitting your bid involves the (likelihood) of changing hotels during your stay, and is explained in this thread: SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BIDLet us know if this is an option for you or not.
