yes, I used hotwire. I had bid on priceline and was unsuccessful, and did not want to change the area for the stay and thought it was good price for 4 star and area so went with it. Sorry did not write down ammenities that were listed. I am new to here so next time if I use hotwire I will list them. But I seam to have better luck with priceline

restaurant(s), fitness center, spa, and tennis nearby

Ok I just got back from my stay. Here is my review.

First I called the hotel ahead of time(couple days) to see if I could get a smoking room with two double beds. They were happy to arrange that. I arrived at the hotel after getting lost driving there, but was pleased at the looks of the hotel. It overlooks the river on one side and lake michigan and navy peir on the other side. As we pulled up we asked the valet where we could park and he said it was all valet parking. We were not informed of price of parking but it was $41 a night which was posted on a sign that we missed. So that was kind of a bummer. We then proceeded to checkin and had no problems at all. Our room was on the 5th floor. The view was facing the river and the hyatt regency which was next door. They had a mini fridge stocked and very nice furniture. The room was very clean and had plenty of towels and two robes. The bathroom had a nice glass shower and a seperate tub, besides the nice sink area and toilet, also a coffee maker and a hair dryer. We had neighbors on both sides of our room who were kinda noisy. The room had internet access on the TV and an ethernet jack for if you wanted to hookup a laptop.

The fitness center pool and hot tub were located on the 42nd floor. Had a great view from up there. The pool hot tub,and saunna were free, but I think the fitness area costed extra. When arriving at the pool you had to sign in and they had towels available for the guests there.

Overall

Parking was the only real dissappointment

Room was nice

Great Location

Friendly service

All of the hotels in downtown Chicago have a parking fee. Last summer we paid $35, but it may have gone up. Anyway - you would have had that anywhere. You don't HAVE to park at the hotel, you can park downtown somewhere, but it would be a pain to have to hike back to your hotel. I have seen people do it, but it's worth the extra $20 to me to have my car at the hotel. It's also safer for the car.
