Certainly a great price on a great hotel.

 

Amenities: Free Parking, free internet, pet friendly, casino, fitness, restaurant, business center, internet access, golf nearby

Accessible for visually impaired, hearing impaired, path of travel, in room, parking, bathroom, roll in shower

 

If I were not booking two rooms, including a guest couple, I would have tried to get closer to Greektown.

 

There were two four star hotels posted as well, which confused me, because I thought Hotwire only showed the lowest price at a given star level.

One was certainly the Cadillac Book, the other was $145 marked down to $111, 4 of 5 on Trip advisor, 90% recommended by hotwire.

I did not want Cadillac Book, although a great hotel, and didn't want to speculate.  Wondering if the Atheneum has stopped using the Casino amenity?  Their book direct rate was (close) at $149.  I would be very interested for future reference if anyone has insight?

Sweet deal for this Detroit property and glad you are pleased with the result. 

 

Hot.wire used to show only one hotel per star rating per zone, but then changed that - first in Vegas and then elsewhere.

 

The Atheneum was last reported with casino - it may have changed but no confirmation as such yet.
