not sure which areas or price to choose. I would love to score an SPG or Hyatt property, as I am platinum/diamond respectively

HOTWIRE and PRICELINE reservations are not eligible for rewards programs - you can ask but the hotel may say no.

 

The Hilton Fashion District would be the best guess for the Chelsea property above.

ended up booking 1 night for the MTC $126. It was correctly identified as Sheraton New York Hotel.

 

I was able to check out at 4pm with presentation of my SPG plat. no other perks were offered.

Thank you for the follow-up. Given the discounted rate, late check-out is unusual (rewards are usually not given for discounted reservations, although it varies by hotel) and definitely a nice bonus - especially in NYC.
