missm8 Posted November 21, 2014 Report Posted November 21, 2014 Hi appreciate it if you could identify a Waikiki beach area 4 star hotel (31/1/2014 to 5/2/2015 5 nights)USD 173 per night85% recommended Amenities: Resort, pool, internet access, near beach, restaurants, oceanfront hotel, business centre, fitness center, self service laundry. Many thanks!
AaronJB Posted November 21, 2014 Report Posted November 21, 2014 Please provide a follow-up for your prior NYC Priceline thread (post what you decided for that stay within that thread, then reply to this thread and we would be happy to take a look at the above post.) Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
thereuare Posted November 22, 2014 Report Posted November 22, 2014 Please remember to follow-up your threads with your wins/decisions as you make them, as this helps keep the board better organized and more useful for everyone, as well as being a courtesy to anyone who took the time to help with your trip. I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you click thru a few extra links. If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing, do you see more amenities then what you have listed above? Using this method, below is the full list of amenities i'm seeing for the 4 star hotel in this zone when searching for your dates: Resort Near Beach Oceanfront Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Laundry Hi-Speed Internet Golf Spa Childrens Activities Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower ... if this is what you're seeing, the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa would be my best guess for this one. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
missm8 Posted November 25, 2014 Author Report Posted November 25, 2014 Thanks!Do you think I can get it cheaper by bidding on priceline?
thereuare Posted November 25, 2014 Report Posted November 25, 2014 If you're willing to accept any 4* hotel in the zone why not try bidding on PRICELINE up to $170/nite, then if rejected take the HOTWIRE offer? If you want to follow this gameplan you have THREE re-bid zones when bidding in the Oahu area. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding. (NOTE: 're-bid zone1' is not the same as priceline's Zone1, 're-bid zone2' is not the same as priceline's Zone2, etc, etc) Select 4* Waikiki Beach... Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone1... Bid $145, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE... Select 4* Waikiki Beach and re-bid zone2... Bid $150, if rejected add re-bid zone1... Bid $155, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE... Select 4* Waikiki Beach and re-bid zone3... Bid $160, if rejected add re-bid zone1... Bid $165, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE... Select 4* Waikiki Beach and re-bid zone2 and re-bid zone3... Bid $168, if rejected add re-bid zone1... Bid $170 Any questions feel free to ask. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Good luck and let us know how it goes. missm8 Posted November 25, 2014 Author Report Posted November 25, 2014 Hi, thanks for the proposal.I note that Hyatt Regency is in the Waikiki City Central zone.Well, I don't mind either 4 star hotel in Waikiki beach or city central. Can you provide bidding strategy? Many thanks.Another question- some hotels charge a resort fee ($25/day or so), if I'm successful with my bid, does it include resort fee?
thereuare Posted November 26, 2014 Report Posted November 26, 2014 Resort fees, if any, are payable directly to the hotel and not included in your PRICELINE bid. Using your THREE re-bid zones you can try as follows: Select 4* Waikiki Beach... Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $145, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $150, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $155, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE... Select 4* City Central... Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $145, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $150, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $155, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE... Select 4* Waikiki Beach and City Central... Bid $158, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $160, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $163, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $165 If the above is rejected you can take this 4 Star Waikiki City Central hotel (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $168/nite. Any questions feel free to ask. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Good luck and let us know how it goes. missm8 Posted January 6, 2015 Author Report Posted January 6, 2015 Hi, I am not successful with bid up to $175. I have been looking at PRICELINE EXPRESS. Can you help identify this: 4.5 star Waikiki Marina area Free Internet, Swimming Pool, Pets Allowed, Restaurant, Business Center My guess is the Modern Honolulu. Can you confirm? Thanks.
AaronJB Posted January 6, 2015 Report Posted January 6, 2015 I'd also guess this is a potential match for the Modern. Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
