Priceline Hotel: NYC 12/11-12/15

I have never used the name your own price tool. What would be a reasonable starting bid for a hotel for 4 nights starting 12/11/14? We would want at least a 3* or 3.5*

The Following zones would be fine

 

Midtown West

Central Park South

Midtown East

Madison Square Garden Area

Chelsea

Financial District

So we don't suggest a strategy that goes higher than you're willing to pay, what would be your desired budget per night for this stay?

I'll add that rates are not as high as i would have expected for these dates (the tail end of the busy holiday season)...

PRICELINE EXPRESS has this 3 star Central Park South property for just $124/nite. My guess is that this may be The Wellington, which is far from my favorite hotel in the city, but at this price perhaps it would work for your needs if budget is a concern (also note that this property has some rooms with only one double bed, which is not that uncommon in NYC)

Other 3* hotels in nearby zones will likely run in the $150-$175 area... a 4* hotel in one of the zones above could likely be had in the $160-$180.
