charlestonemt Posted October 29, 2014 Report Posted October 29, 2014 I will be staying in Manhattan from 12/25-12/28 with my wife and 2 kids (2 and 4) and am trying to identify hotels that would work. Ideally, an all-suite hotel would be preferable (i.e Doubletree in times square) so that we could get by with just one room reservation. We really don't all sleep well in the same room, so 2 queen beds is pretty much out. Don't have to stay in TS, but this is the one all suite hotel I can think of off the top of my head. With a quick Hotwire search, I see a 4* Times Square area hotel for $216 with Pet Friendly, Fitness, Restaurant, Business ctr, and Internet access. Couldn't narrow this one down on my own. Thanks in advance for the help, and I'll be sure to book with the link on this site...it's helped me out greatly in the past.
AaronJB Posted October 29, 2014 Report Posted October 29, 2014 Are you still seeing this listing when searching for these dates? When I search for 2 adults and 2 children, I'm seeing a 4* in TS with different amenities, but unfortunately the price is a little over $300. Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

AaronJB Posted October 31, 2014 Report Posted October 31, 2014 I do see a 4* in MTC w/Restaurant, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Laundry, Blind Accessible, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Handicapped Parking, Roll-in Shower for $210. I'd guess this is the Warwick - not exactly what you were hoping for, unfortunately, but a good deal - especially considering quad occupancy - for this period. I'm also seeing a 4* in MTE for $207 w/Restaurant, Fitness, Smoke Free, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Pet Friendly. These amenities are common so there is a chance it could be something else, but the Renaissance 57 has been seen with this amenity set previously, so that would be a possibility in this case. Either would be way cheaper than TS. Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
charlestonemt Posted October 31, 2014 Author Report Posted October 31, 2014 Thanks for the heads up. I will take a look at them. We stayed in the Affinia Property right across from Penn Station a few years ago and were put in a huge suite with a full kitchen...and that was a priceline deal. I know there's no way to guarantee something like that again. I'd actually prefer to stay in the midtown area over TS. Like I said, I am really hoping to nail down a suite so that we can put our kids in another room.
AaronJB Posted October 31, 2014 Report Posted October 31, 2014 One idea would be to look for a PRICELINE EXPRESS listing with bed choice. Occasionally you will see an upgrade (suite or larger room) as one of the options. If you search PRICELINE EXPRESS for your dates, are you seeing any listings of interest with bed choice within your desired price range? Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
charlestonemt Posted November 11, 2014 Author Report Posted November 11, 2014 Actually I had never thought of that. I really don't have any experience with PL express so thanks for the suggestion.Today I did find something that looks like it may be a good deal, but need some help narrowing down what property it might be.Priceline express - 4* Midtown West. Amenities: Pets allowed, business Cir, restaurantRoom options: Guest Room - $215, 1 bed + sofa bed suite - $236, or 1 bedroom suite - 1 bed + sofa bed - $257. Any help with ID would be appreciated.
