Damus
I am going to book a nice hotel in Cancun Dec 20-26. I plan on doing a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal on priceline. When wld I receive the best deal ? If I book now or wait until a few days before the trip ? Thoughts appreciated. Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! If you haven't yet, please start by reading your messages. There is no telling if rates will come down, or move higher, between now and your trip... it all depends upon supply/demand (or in hotel language, how actual new reservations/cancellations come in relative to expected new reservations/cancellations). However, given that at least part of your dates are likely a peak travel time for the area (with public schools off for the holidays and many families likely taking trips during this time period) i wouldn't suggest waiting until the last minute. What is your desired star rating and expected budget for this trip (per nite before fees/taxes)? Are you looking for an all-inclusive property or a 'regular' hotel? Damus
Thank you for your reply. Between 130 and 230 . All inclusive wld be better. I also need good Wifi. It seems people complain about the wifi a lot in Cancun in general. I've tried to book a certain express deal like 10 times the past few days. But it's never available when I attempt. Anyway. It's an 4 star all inclusive for 171. Great deal. Always listed in the express deals but it seems it is un-purchasable. I'll probably get a different one soon. Link to comment
thereuare
Is it THIS ONE (check your dates on the landing page) I am able to click thru the links above and get to the last step of the buying process (at which point i need to stop or i'll have purchased the hotel)... at what point does your purchase fail? What is the error message you get? Does the link above work for you? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
